The Globe reported today on the death of the "oldest known Red Sox fan" Kathryn Gemme at the age of 112.
In May of 2005, the Globe profiled her when she came face to face with the 2004 World Series trophy.
When she met Johnny Pesky she asked him how old he was. Pesky replied he was 84 and she shot back 'Ah, Johnny, you're just a kid.' "
